Handy tip

We had a thread on how to make a Swedish torch some time ago (maybe years ago) ... can't seem to find it easily right now, but basically all it was, was to split a dry log into 4 quarters, space them apart about 1½ cm to create a cross shaped gap between the quarters and prop the gaps full of tinder and light it. (If you want to see more about that method, just google "Swedish torch").

The problem with that method is that you have to source a fair sized (diameter) log ... not always easy, we don't all carry chainsaws around with us. This guy's method is a lot more practical, and in fact one doesn't even need to cut the stakes to the same length - one could just pound them into the ground to get a level top (could also perhaps eliminate the need for binding).
Watch it and see. ;-)
