Alarm system for 1981 Hilux

Post by Wikkels »

Hi guys,
Just bought myself a restored 1981 Hilux SWB, AKA Bos Mossel  , and I must say it was a job well done. I am however concerned that it might get a new owner without any written consent. :x
With an already installed gear lock, I would also like to install an alarm system as well. A central locking system with big noise and maybe some kind of anti-theft gadget. I have seen some central locking alarm systems at Autostyle but not sure about the quality there off.

I know there is a lot of experienced guys on the forum and your ideas and knowledge will be highly appreciated.

Bakkie looks great! A hidden cut-off switch for your coil wiring is a start.

My step son is also in Kathu. He does auto elect work. You could maybe give him a ring and see if he can help you out. His no is 0745157484. His name is Bennie.

bakkie looks beautiful. good job.
best go to a alarm place and fit a system with them and maybe a R100 a month tracker like the netstar slueth etc for extra piece of mind.
