No they are not on my truck yet as it is not standing by my place. Taking them there tonight or so and then I will take pics.

Tires cost me R11k for 5 brand new tires and the 5 rims a total of R950. Rims were sandblasted, powdercoated with undercoat, color and clear to make the paint last a little longer.

Thanks guys!!!

I think I will let you guys look forward to the final look just a little longer...

Not oil from my truck, its oil from a car which was standing in that spot before mine.

Just a little more info on what is happening. The repairs on the Surf were brought to a standstill after the problem with WRD&AE and the purchase of the house. I did however repair the wiring and have the ECU fixed. I have gone legal with the situation but have been told it will take a while. :aggresive: And then we bought the house. :yahoo:
I managed to get hold of a few of the missing parts through contacts etc and ordered a few which are taking time to be delivered. In the mean time I am fixing up a few things and doing a few mods while I wait. The Surf is with a friend who works on cars at night and that is where the oil is from.
I am doing a 50mm body lift, waiting for a new heavy duty tie rod to cope with the 35’s, waiting for the rear disk brake parts and also money to start on my bumper. O’yes, I am also trying to get hold of black sticker / wrap to wrap my bonnet. Once all is done and it runs I have to contact Blackadder again about the windscreen as I still need it replaced.

Can’t wait for it to be finished…

Eish! That is sad! :( But at least you will know that it's OK in the areas where you have already been busy. Hope it's not too long and costly before it's up and running again! ;-)

Hi, had them done in Lea Glen, at a place called Colour Coate Powder Coaters. Number is 011 672 6988. Excelent service and only paid R150 per rim. If you do phone them tell them I refered you to them but speak to the owner/manager. Cant recall his name but have it written down somewhere.

It took me 3 hours to clean with engine cleaner and a paintbrush with the help of my wife, it came out much MUCH better but there were some places where the paint had already been chipped away and so on so I then sanded it down a little. Went to Builders warehouse and bought a tin of Hammerite and started painting. Painted all the small places with a brush and then used a small roller. I didn’t want to leave brush strokes. I know I should have used spray but I am doing it as cost effective as possible and myself. You wouldn’t even know it was painted by hand if I didn’t tell you. Trust me…
