hulix "knock" when reversing

Post by Bossies die wit bul »

Hi guys,

Last week I was reversing in to my back yard and heard a knock, I was worried and confused.... I pulled out and did the excate same moves and it was back.

When I have my steering wheel full lock to the left and engage reverse and slowly pull away there's a loud knock and its gone.

I will try this but steering wheel to the right and nothing if I do all again but going forward then nothing......

I went to Toyota deal and they said that I have modified my suspension so it has caused my steering to become "stretched" what the hell does that mean.

Please can someone give me advice as its becoming louder and louder and I can't see where its coming from and when I left it at the dealer I got it back with a report that there's nothing wrong........

Cheers.

Sounds like you need some grease on your steering stops

Hi guys thanks for the help.

It sounds like right by my feet when I hear the knock.

I phone Toyota another deal and thy asked if I had modified the suspension and I told them that I had omu fitted. They then said that some steering arm needed to be adjusted to normal state.......... I have no idea what that means. The van is 50000 kms old and no trouble but now this..... and they as far as I can se are just trouble shooting.

Sfa's seem to have knocks in them, try lubing the steering arm joints with lithuim grease.
