which chip system?

Post by Joffy »

I am wanting to install a chip on my Hilux 2.5 D-4D  . I have either the option of going to Chip Logic and getting a system from them or going to Steves Auto Clinic.
I have used SAC in the past when they connected a chip to my Jeep, but I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on Chip Logic or is able to the give me some advice regarding the two.

Let your tuner install a bleed off tap to the waste gate to up the boost to 0.95 bar. Works very well but the map signal will have to get clamped with the Unichip. Should give you a 20% increase safely with exhaust gas temps well within the 750 deg limit.

ok. that makes sense. I take it this can all be done if I go to SAC when they install the unichip (piggyback system)? That 20%... is that on top of the power gains after it the hilux has been chipped?
