Velocity Raptors AT any good??

Weet nie of jul die draad op die community gesien het nie, maar het gedink ek herhaal die vraag hier om te hoor wat die manne met die Toys se.

Ek moet begin kyk na nuwe bande en het nog heeltyd maar geneig om te bly by die 31x10.5x15s wat ek nou op my kzte hilux het. Tot ek hierdie raak gelees het en bietjie rondgebel het.

Die velocity raptors is amper die helfte die prys van BFs en word deur Continental in PE net vir Tiger Wheel and tyre gemaak. Die tread lyk amper presies soos die general grabber sn (sien hieronder).

Het iemand al di bande opgesit en getoets? Is dit enigsins goed/ moeite werd en kan hul helfte di kwaliteit van BFs wees?

Ek weet daar is baie drade oor bande maar kon nie di Raptors raak lees nie...

Het vir my op gesit en het n paar trail gery al nog niks geen probleme nie die band geraas op die teer is nie te sleg nie. Een probleem het my by twt gekoop en die het nitro ingesit en dit het vir my n probleem gegee as ek dit afgeblaas het vir n trail moes dan weer so ry totdat twt dir weer vir my kan op pomp het besluit dis n slep en als uit gelaat en vervang met gewone lug. Die is nogal n goeie band patroon lyk baie soos bf's geen rubberstukke way af klim nie ens sal hom aanbeveel veral teen die prys myne het my R 4750,0 gekos op gesit wiel balansering en wheelaliment in gesluit en dit was laas jaar einde oktober.

Dankie Coert. Ja nee ek het ook opgegee met die stikstof. Ry te gereeld trials so jy verdun dit so vinnig met die op en afblasery om sin te maak.
Bly om te hoor die band hou so ver. Enige idee hieveel kms jy al gedoen het daarmee??

Ek het ook destyds hierna gekyk, maar toe besluit op die Hankook DynaPro wat kilo's waarborg tot 80 000. Die bande het baie goeie nat en droog sowel as sand en klip performance. Die prys, as eg reg onthou was dieselfde as die van die Velocity.

Hi Guys

Just spoke to a mate that works for Continental and his reply was go for it as it is a premium tyre and pecentage wise he gets less comebacks on the velocities than any of the other brands. It is basically one of their premium tyres with TWT branding.

Shall be looking at them myself now.

Ek het 30x9.5x15 op my D4D gehaad van dag een. Kan nie sleg praat nie, het seker 20 000km gedoen op teer, paar tracks, soutpanne in Bots.....

SWAMBO is in die mark vir 'n ander voertuig en dit was baie opvallend om te sien hoeveel voertuie op die vloere staan in Voorstrekker straat (Pretoria) met nuwe Raptors op. So ek dink dit gaan ook baie oor die prys.

Ja dit is baie moelik on n tussen R4000-R5000 verskil per tyre change te ignoreer... Ek kan weer paar ander speelgoed met daai R5000 bysit of net die tenk paar keer weer vol kry...

Hulle op my eerste Amarok gehad. Geen probleme nie. 20 000km met hulle afgele.

it was a radio add so I am sure it would be at all of them I paid R1250 ish per tyre two weeks ago

Dankie. Just had a peak at their website it is R1045 for the 30x9.5x15", the size I am looking for (31x10.5x15") is R1450 per tyre... Dammit.

Did moetgatle last weekend with no problems not even a flat tyre nothing, soos in niks probleme gekry nie, very good a/t tyre, sal hom sterk aan beveel. En voor dit n trip af oos-londen toe en terug en weer af port edward toe en terug geen probleme nie.

Ekt myne net 100km terug gefit, sover happy. Lyk goed en minder padgeraas as die bfgs wat ek opgehad het. Sal sien hoe loop dit met die tyd saam

Just completed my first 800kms. Only small negative so far is whenever I drove some dirt roads i will more often than not find 2-3 stones still stuck in the thread. So not the best with getting the small pebbles out of the thread. But had the same on the bfgs. Other than that really cant complain... Especially at the price.

WQN have you noticed this as well??

Does not bug me, but the wife is not so keen on the klik, klik, klik when driving on the tar roads in the game parks.

Any tyre that has a 'wide' tread pattern will have this problem. Just drive faster

they will eventually come out

Went to TWT Klerksdorp and enquired about 245/75 16 Raptors. "Sorry Sir that is a very unpopular size we don't stock it" I dont suppose you get very many farmers and all....

Ek het my hilux Raptors so jaar terug op gesit Hier in die bos gery in die modder en baie grond pad. nie n dag se probleme op getel nie en lyk nog amper nuut. Hulle gooi n lekker streep modder as jy bietjie speel. Sal weer vir my op sit.

Het vandag na die bande gaan kyk. Ek moet sê die BF se side wall was baie harder as die ander AT bande wat daar was. Maar ek weet nie veel van bande af nie so kan nie baie meer sê nie. Vir die prys . . . ek gaan oor so 2 weke die raptors op sit.

wish I had read about this sooner, I just put 2 new BFG's on my Lux , cost me R3000.00 each. I was thinking of changing to something else. they look so similar to the BFG that one wont really notice the difference at a quick look if there are 2 BFG's and 2 Velocity's on a vehicle. Anyway maybe next time I'll put them on the front when its time to change.
