Jip, almost done fitting a 1jz1

The 1JZ is exactly the same motor, but because it's not bored and stroked to the max, they do not have cranckshaft and overheating problems, more than enough power and much cheaper to buy.

Peet, would the 1jz or 2jz be a better option?? Still a straight 6, but much newer design. Parts are becoming scarce for the older M series engines.

I would rather go for a lexus v8 or d4d if I have time and money for a new conversion. For now time is limited and the engine that I'm getting is from a local car with low mileage. Celica Supra with 100000 km.

Started my "new" second hand motor this weekend with original 7M wiring and computer. Much better than the previous motor with after market ECU.

Still need to wire the fan and spot lights then my baby is ready for a road test. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Very nice camping site... :yahoo: - Silver Rocks

I would recommend standard wiring for anybody running a 7MGE motor. (I haven't played with anything but Spitronic and Spitronic is really a cool system but to get it as good as factory settings is :frustrated: )

Baie geluk Peet. Laat weet n bietjie hoe die kraglewering en petrol verbruik verskil tussen die 2 ecu's.
Het jy al n dyno gedoen?

Silver Rocks het spoggerige ablusies ne?
