Some 2.7 IFS advise needed from the local Experts

Post by Ultred »

Hi Guys,

At a speed above say 60km/h, when i accelerate there is a humming sound from under the vehicle, but as soon as i take my foot of the accelerator the humming stops, as soon as i accelerate its comes back again. What is running Dry?

If my truck stands at an angle over night or if it just stands for a while and cools off it struggles to start and smells very lean when it eventually does. But when the engine is warm, no prob. What can like to be the reason?

Your 1st problem could be the Rear diff that needs some oil or the other could be the crown wheel and pinion in the rear diff is worn.

Your engine problem could be sticky injectors or a partially blocked fuel filter, worse case fuel pump.

Checked and cleaned Flow meter, little improvement, going in this week for the exhaust as i think one of the boxes are blocked. Fuel pump checked and all OK there.
Next will be spark plugs and timing checked.
There after a little chip installed.
The Italian Stallions should be back.
