3.0D4D Mechanic Wanted - Clutch & Waterpump

Hey guys,

So I had a mild heart attack today when my 2007 3.0 D4D 4x2 Tuna went in for its 250k service at Toyota - Fourways today.

Desperately looking for advice and cost to replace my Waterpump & even a bigger problem of the Clutch & Master Cylinder replacement.

I just did the service, but I don't know what they've done - its sounding horrificly worse - like a metal winding sound from the clutch now....

Here's what they've quoted me for:

1. Waterpump
a) Waterpump - R1832
b) Labour - R1979
c) Coolant R469

2. Clutch & Master Cylinder
a) Clutch Kit - R4955
b) Skim Flywheel - R499
c) Gear Oil - R280
d) Labour for clutch - R3534
e) Master Cylinder - R1311
f) Labour for Master Cylinder - R709

Can anyone please recommend a good mech preferably in JHB North who can do this privately?

Howzit.......I can replace the clutch kit [skeem flywheel] plus pilot bearing and waterpump.....with genuine Toyota parts......


the parts plus labour.....R9000.00

Just remember to service the slave kit on the gearbox as well and not only the master cylinder.
