My Hilux over the weekend decided it no longer wants to start. It just swings and dies after a second.
I have checked the following:
Filter clean
Water trap clean
All fuses -ok
What I have noticed is when the incoming fuel line is removed and motor is swung there is no fuel being pushed into the filter cartridge.

Diesel sludge, the greenish slimy stuff, blocks the pickup filter? That happened on my old 2.5 TD Ranger.

Diesel filter - start by removing the water trap plug on the bottom of the diesel filter housing.

Ok so injector pump is stuffed! 14,k to replace. Will be done under cpa implied warranty as I just bought the vehicle.
