Ignition module? That was still a points / condenser / coil type ignition - are you referring to the coil pack or has there been an EFI conversion?

Somewhere along the line the old points & condenser distributor has been swopped out for an electronic dizzy. It could be a Toyota one or one that has been modified to fit. Might be a good idea to take it past an auto-lec.

The ignition module is inside the distributor@ The Legend.

I have been through all the wiring and connections. Everything is good.

I will try and run it by a auto lec. Any recommendations on good auto lec in Pretoria?

This sounds like a earthing problem. My suggestion would be to run a new earth strap straight from the battery to the block of the engine.
If the earth is bad or periodically bad then it tends to bugger up the electronics like in your case.
