Is it still possible to get a good quality alternator such as the original Bosch unit for my 95 2.4SRX Hilux.
My Bosch unit packed up some years ago.
Maybe it can be refurbished?(commutator is worn)
I have had 3 universal Chinese Midas units since but they are rubbish, they all made a whistling sound, belt doesn't line up 100% which causes a chirping noise especially cold.

Did you try Diesel Electric? They stock Bosch products.

I did a few years ago, all they could offer me was the Chinese universal one.
