1984 HiLux 4x4 tyres

Post by jmvv »

I am busy rebuilding a 1984 Hilux 4x4.

I am using the original split rims.

According to my information, the original tyres were 7.5x16 (75016)

Can anybody please confirm this.

Not sure which shape truck you have. If it is berfore the "HIPS" the specs are as follows:
Tyre sizes - Wheels (original) 5.5J steel
Tyres (original) 7.00 x 15 light truck

I stand corrected, but I don't think these early trucks came with 16" tyres.
