I recently had a water pump failure which lead to a replacement of the pump, timing belt and tensioner.
Other items were replaced while the work was being done. Including all cooling system hoses, thermostat and some wiring from the ignition to the battery.
Now I have a quick tapping sound which seems to be coming from below the throttle body. The engine is also idling unusually high and runs rough during acceleration.
The Hilux is a LN167, 3.0L diesel 4x4.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hilux 5L engine tap
Did they get the timing correct when replacing the belts?
Happy trails
