I think Tabor is the better one, but the Come-Up isn't too bad either. Thing with a winch is that if you don't have, you make do without .... if you have you'll want to use it when a situation calls for it, and then it should be able to perform without letting you down after being exposed to bad weather, the occasional water or mud bath. So get the best your pocket can afford. IIRC the Arctic Trucks were fitted with Come-Up winches (open to correction on that one). ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Here's something I didn't know .... Tabor are made by Warn. So service and parts should be easy.

iWarehouse (above link) keep them, as well as Liftequip. There might be other suppliers in the JHB area .... see what the other guys say. ;-)

Speak to NicoP on the forum.

Ek dink darrem nie daar sal n prys verskil wees nie. Ek dink hulle het 50 winches bestel, myne is 12 000lbs,die nuwe vrag is almal 13 000lbs. Laas was daar ek dink R300 verskil tussen die 12 000lbs en 13 000lbs.
Hoop dit help.
Groete
