For the fun of it, post pics of your recovery kit, and how it is stored

Mine goes in the "F" crate ...... for those situations where you might be F'd.......

Still need to organize mine into it's own crate.

Looks good Wayne. Mine is also in a crate but I still need to just get a high lid because mine is just to packed. Just a quick question, shouldnt you think of another place for your fire extinguisher? Unless you have 2 and that is in a different place but in an emergancy it might not be nice to have to first struggle to get to the crate, then open it to get to the extinguisher.

Ek like die idee van die krat... maar soos Ali3n ook noem. Die F is nogals helemal reg wat jy gaan ge-F wees as jou bakkie begin brand en jy daai brandblusser eers uit daai boks moet uit kry...

Mine is in one of the ammo boxes and the bigger items behind the rear seat.

Hi Neil, I am more interested in the "örganiser" you seem to have on the back seat (not the back wall). as mentioned to you before the back wall might not work too great for me due to some other stuff I have in the back. Can you post a few pics of the seat? Do you supply those for the IFS? Thanks

Legally you're also supposed to carry 2 x triangles
Must still come around to sort mine out neatly, and buy some odds and ends.

Proper recovery kit will not fit in a Wolfpak:
Winch remote
Snatch block
Tree trunk protector
Snatch rope
At least two tow straps
Chain
Axe
Tree saw
Branch cutters
Spade
Hi lift jack
At least four D-shackles, rated.
Sand ladders
Exhaust jack (for areas of bad sand)
Jumper leads (but could be part of the tool kit)

Just saying.

Obviously that excludes the triangles, gloves, fire extinguisher (and when I go into deep bush a small petrol chain saw) and sat phone.

GPS and backup maps as a lot of the routes that I take are not on either GPS nor maps but I can use the maps to show direction to. I also often go alone as in single vehicle so I definately cannot get and stay stuck.

4wd system ... I always have spare hubs, bearing kits etc with me; as well as a comprehensive tool kit and electrical box.

Mebbe we could start another thread ... Show and tell - Tool kit too.

I've seen similar organisers at Megaworld...hangs from the jack handle mounts.

Also having issues with the recovery stuff, my kit so basic it all fits in a 7.62 metal ammo box :shh:
I think strarps etc in those upright ammo boxes (higher than the high lid but smaller footprint), although I haven't seen any of those around lately; the gardening tools should go in the alu canopy against the doors or inside the tail gate
