eZemvelo
So ever since we bought the Hilux, my wife got the urge to go camping. I've always enjoyed camping and encouraged this new-found interest.
To cut a short story long, we decided to go to eZemvelo for 5 days. Wednesday before I start packing, I shoot by my old man's house and hook up his little trailer. Once we start packing it becomes clear that I'll have to tie some things to the roofrack on the canopy as well as the trailer's lid when I finish packing on Thursday (Yup - got the kitchen sink and everything)
Next morning we go to Campworld to buy some extra tent pegs, rope and a sleeping bag for the laaitie... A whole lot of money later we walk out with tent pegs, rope, a sleeping bag, a toaster, a leather hat and....
... a 6 foot Jurgens trailer
Anyways...
Go pack it all in our new trailer, pick up the laaitie and his buddy from school, and off we go!
We got to eZemvelo at around 15h00, and promptly set about pitching tents - had to move because it looked like rain. By 17h30 we were set up and I set about the braai. Had a lekker meal and we were in bed early. Sadly we didn't sleep very well - made the rookie mistake of pitching our tent under a tree and with the heavy dew that night you just heard these monstrous drops falling on the tent all night.
Next morning we went for a game drive at dawn, and just after breakfast set about moving the tent out from under the tree. The laaities went swimming (madness in that weather, but ja...) and we did more or less nothing :D
The rest of the time there we spent either on game drives, or messing around at camp. I really enjoyed Sunday, when we went all over the show on the minor roads that scare the Sandton 4x4's away
Some pics:
Our camp setup - very happy with our campsite we chose

Dis hom!
As jy verby Bronkies ry op die pad van Bapsfontein af, so 2km na die laaste verkeerslig kry jy n bordjie by n grondpad na regs. So 15-20km se grondpad en jy's daar!

Nice!!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
