Bonniedale, Attaquaskloof Trail, Burchells & Baviaanskloof

Post by Mr_B »

One of my good friends Mark Bastiaans planned a 4x4 tour for 6 days over the Easter weekend... we weren't planning on going but circumstances changed and we decided to join in to make it a 4 vehicle tour... the vehicles and people:

Mark and Shaun Bastiaans: Jeep XJ 2.5TDi with suspension lift
Anthony(Pa) and Sue(Ma) Bastiaans: Mazda 2.5TDi with lifted suspension and a few other mods
Gareth, Cindy + kids(Dylan and Jordan) Butler: Jeep XJ 4L 6Cylinder... heavily modded, very capable vehicle
Bretton(myself), Kim + kids(Joel and Jessica): Toyota Hilux SFA 2.2i... heavily modded...

I will continue the trip report bit by bit as time allows... but for those that really just want to see the pics, I've loaded a captioned album on to Picasa:

https://picasaweb.google.com/1027463649 ... directlink" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Note that the slideshow feature works pretty cool! Just push F11 to run it in full screen mode!

I will do a highlights/summary of each trail of the tour, and pull a few of the best pic of each!

Hi Bretton

Dit is baie mooi en ek kan duidelik sien dat julle julle gate uit geniet het.Ek het net een probleem.Hoe kan jy toelaat dat n Jeep voortou vat en nie n HILUX nie?

Thanks for sharing,
Did the Burchell trail about 2 years back, I work with Katot Meyer's son, so we arranged a trip for me and the in-laws. Really something special

Maybe he's emulating a grown male that he knows who may also have been playing with a doll! :twisted:

Very nice pics Bretton .... great scenery and really fantastic looking trails. Something that I'm going to have to add to my 'to do' list. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
