Racor filter on D4D or not?

Post by lpfourie73 »

I find that I can do only like 550km on my 3.0 D4D before the low fuel light goes on. I am a farmer and I often drive these sort of kilometers before I pass a fuel pump. I understand that the injectors of these commonrail engines nead best quality diesel. So I do not want to fill up on the farm. A long range tank would be too expensive. I know that Racor also supply funnels that take out water and dirt. Fitting a filter system to the farm tank is also an option. Some advice would be appreciated.
