Our travels will take us to some places where I have never been, so I am really looking forward to the adventure. The plan is worked out as follows:
Upington for 3 days
Kgalaghadi for 5 days
Koes (Nam) for 2 days
Windhoek for 1 day
Swakopmund for 2 days
Sossusvlei area for 2 days
Luderitz for 2 days
Rosh Pinah for 2 days
Then we have 4 days to get back to Cape Town.
It took a lot of hard work and a lot of effort from other people besides myself and Shameless to get Kaspaas kitted out and ready to do the trip. I want to thank Allan for the hours/weeks/months that he put in and the frustrations he had to deal with (mainly my full of sh!tness) to get Kaspaas ready. Dankie Tjom dit word regtig waardeer! Hou jou selfoon aan ek is seker jy sal wil kom kuier daar in die Kalaarie...
And then I want to also mention Jacques Basson from Overland Camp Rentals (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1161&p=9141) for the rental of his own personal fridge, as all his rental units were booked out. Dankie Jacques.
Then to Niel, sorry buddy we never got round to having that "Bon Voyage" SZ that you were so keen on. Tough luck mate, we do it when we come back.
I will take heaps of pictures and do a proper trip report when we are back. Hopefully if all goes well that will be round about that first week in May, when nobody is going to work.
