Hallo all,

We are 3 who will be going to Zambia for some community projects i.e. Bible training center, needle work, jungle gym build and encouragement to some missionaries.
Trip is just over 6,300km's according to MapSource see pic below, will bring back good stories on our return
Pic not so clear but going all the way up to Ikelenge north Zambia, back down to Sepopa Botswana and then home. . .
Here is a better quality image for those of you on facebook http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 8142_n.jpg

Re: Long but awesome adventure unfold - Final report
Good day all,
Well, I've tried to see how I could sum this trip up without writing a book Very difficult to capture 7,200km's 3 countries and awesome experiences, so here goes, any questions welcome.
We started off in Pretoria, 3 people in the outreach mobile unit and the main aim was to train 10 ladies in Zambia with sewing classes and then build a jungle gym in Northern part of Botswana, see pictures below.
Our first night was Francis town, then off to Livingstone at Overland Missions, then off to Itezhi Tezhi next to Kafue river in Zambia and after the ladies were trained we headed to Ikelenge top part of Zambia right in between Angola and Congo, you'll see marker 43 of Rhodesia and Congo border, where we also visited the start of the mighty Zambezi, what a humbling and encouraging experience, to see something so big and mighty has such a small origin, and is that not just how God works, it might seem very small now but if you keep at it, you have no idea how big it could get, or what you start what a big impact it might have further down the line! After a refreshing day at the Fischers farm in Ikelenge we headed to Mongu but first spend a night in Zambezi town to go and see the famous hanging bridge which was build by a monk which crosses the mighty Zambezi! Reached Mongu and was welcomed by Pastor Monde and his friends who hosted us like kings!!!
After that it was a very difficult road to Popa Falls in Namibia, took us nearly 8 hours to cover just over 200km's before we reached the border from Zambia to Namibia and then the long boring road down Caprivi, why is this such a famous road or strip? Any case, we spend the night at Popa falls because the border into Bots closes at 17:30, the next day we set off to Sepopa to meet with oom Leon and tannie Annetjie and started the jungle gym but due to some rainy weather and material arriving late, we will have to go back end January to complete the project, see picture below how far we got.
We met amazing people, discovered awesome new camping places and were blessed at just how well we were received all over Zambia, can't wait for the next trips. We now busy starting a farming project with one of the local missionaries and reverent to assist them in becoming self-sustaining, you welcome to jump in and assist.
The Hilux behaved exceptionally well and I can honestly say it made the rough roads look very tamed :boredom: :boredom: but as with anything needs a bit of TLC, after all we did 20,000km's since 1st October and it was not easy km's...
Let me know on which part you would like more info
