Mabalingwe 7-9 Sept

Decided to do a quick weekend getaway. Manalingwe is just past Mbizi omn the road from Warmbaths to Thabazimbi.

Arrived Friday about 17h00 at the campsite, which is 7km away from reception...just the way I like it. We stayed at the Kalahari 4x4 bush camp; no electricity and no hot water :thumbup:

Onds het ja, hulle was op die staan plek reg langs ons ;-) hulle het ook lekker onder die bobbejane deurgeloop...laar hulle jou vertel :mrgreen:

Hallo Stefan,

Hoe lank/ver is die 4x4 roete (half dag/hele dag)?

Is die kamp omhein of is dit 'n oop kamp waar die groot vyf tussen die tente kan loop?

Roete is so 3 tot 4 ure; het nie rerig tyd dopgehou nie (het mos die hele naweek gehad ;-) )
Ek glo nie jy sal die groot 5 in die kamp kry nie..jy moet deur 'n hek ry net links van die pub om na die Kalahari bos kamp & 4x4 kamp toe te gaan. Nou nie juis opgelet tot waar die drade loop nie. Tussen die kamp en die berg is daar nie draad nie, maar die wild besigtigings areas is aan die ander kant van die draad. Die karavaan park is omhein alle kante.

Pasop net vir die blerrie bobbejane ; hulle het ons kamp omgekeer, tot die yskas oopgemaak en hom leeg gemaak, vleis & alles, het net die drank gelos :punch: Ammo bokse is 'n goeie idee, hulle kon dit nie oopkry nie, ook nie die tent nie, maar hulle was in ons bure se tente in.

Ek dink as mens jou ammo bokse op die grond kan vas trek met tent penne en ratchet tie downs sal dit redlik veilig wees, andersins los dit in die bakie of trailer.

Lyk regtig lekker. Ek het al gehoor mense laat le n rubber slang of twee rond om ape en jaane skrik te maak. Ek het dit probeer met blou ape maar dit het skeinbaar net die eerste dag van nut gewees. Nog nie met Bobbejane dit probeer nie. Ai ek glo hulle kan n mens se naweek lelik "omkrap"
