Best trip for students, on a student budget?

Post by Velo son »

My friends and I take an annual trip to nice locations which are not too expensive and also not too far.

This year will be our second trip and we are going to Ponta Malongane, again.

It would be nice to travel to a different location each year to see SA and its neighbouring countries.

We are based in Pta.

We are not picky and we compromise easily. We are working on a budget of about R3000 - R4000 per person (all included).

Which locations would you suggest?

Thanks

We are looking for camping, and overlanding would be lots of fun.

The overlanding shouldnt be too far, otherwise it gets expensive quickly.
Mabibi looks very nice.

Boy, has times changed!

In my days the destination was irrelevant, the main concern was: Will there be enough cold beer???

 Due to the changing times and because we have learned out of the mistakes of our fathers we make sure of an excess of beer. :cooldude:
Thats why we are now looking for a location. :subscribed:

Do anyone know of nice locations to visit in and around Ponta Malongane/Ponta Do Ouro?

I know about the sand pit, but when I was there in 2011 it has been closed... Is it open again?

Thanks

Thanks Dawie

We want to do a trip through the elephant park next year, entering at Kosi bay border, travel north, through the park and then Maputo, then home through the Komatipoort border/ Swaziland.

Don't you know of any locations closer to PM? Somewhere to go to on a rainy day... Some monument, piece of history or dunes in that area?

Thank you all.

Milli looks very nice, I will keep it in mind.

Regarding Renamo, do you think they will make trouble south of Maputo? I see they were in the news again yesterday.
