Swakop Dunes and Henties

Post by pietpetoors »

Had to visit the inlaws this year, they were at Henties.
Went with the platkar, so it was a bit un-adventorous.

Luckily Don Nieuwoudt came to my rescue and invited me to the dunes. I drove with him in his super awesome 40 series Cruiser fitted with a hot LS3 motor (6.3 liter V8). I was a real treat driving with such an experienced dune driver in such a capable vehicle. His son drove another 40 series fitted with 1UZ. So it was music in my ears the whole day long.

The dunes were so beautiful that I just had to share it with the rest of the family. So the next day I rented some quads and took the family to the dunes.

This is what happens if you go to Nam in a platkar, the car ends up on the beach:

Stunning Cruisers, Pieter, I would of also taken a platkar, only lucky thing is my platkar is a RAV and she loves sand driving.
