2 Rivers - Giyani - 20th July 2017

Another successful 2 Rivers weekend with New and old Friends.
Really amazing people to tour with, You were great fun and good sports.
8 vehicles, met at the Petro Port on the N1 on Thursday morning, after a meet and greet, a short brief, a two way radio issued to each vehicle, we set off for Giyani (near Phalaborwa) for our first night camping in the dry river bed of the Klein Letaba.
Driving a total distance of 200km off road, in soft sand, technical rock crossing and a few water crossing we spent the next 4 nights camping in the shade of overhanging trees.
The first morning sees the convoy all congregate at the Kruger Park boundary net, with an Elephant to greet everyone, spirits were on a high as we wound the convoy up stream over the following two days.
Exiting the Klein Letaba, a quick stop in Giyani for supplies and refuel, we set the GPS for the next two days in the Molototsi river, this is a non-perennial river and is extremely scenic.
This time it was downstream to eventually meet the Groot Letaba with a stunning river crossing to end the Tour.
Stopping at “Die Eiland” they all pumped tyres, and headed for home. Not 12 hours later, our clients are already asking for more dates and the next event.
