Three bikers travel from Durban to Dublin

Post by Harold »

Thougt that bikers, and others, would be interested. Three guys on motor cycles are currently travelling to Dublin. They have no back-up vehicle and anticipate it taking three month.
Read about their trip on http://durban2dublin.blogspot.com/

I envy them Don't think I would manage a bike but I sure could in my Hilux.

I did a similar trip 15 years ago. Two friends and myself rode on bicycles from Israel to Nelspruit. It took 6 months. We had no support and carried all our camping gear, water, food clothes and spares on the bicycles. Over 20 Kg of stuff at times. It was very hard but lots of fun.

Now hat's a trip worth reading about. I hope you did write a comprehensive story about it, and is it available for me and others to read? With plenty of photos!

I kept a diary every day but after the trip put them away and forgot about it. I am currently talking to a ghost writer and plan to get a book out in the next few years. It is odd reading the diaries again.

Big respect to you for doing the Epic. Amazing achievement at any age. Hope I am still up to that level of activity when I am 58.
