Carbon fiber look

Post by Bushwacker »

I did this carbon fiber look mod over the shiny parts to mainly stop the reflection of the sun and it looks great too

If I remember correctly the sheet is 1.5m wide. I dont make any profit on it. You pay them directly, its a printing place near my home. For a 3m length will be R855. It is R250 excl p/m.

Very well done.

First rate, I have a sheet of the stuff at home. I have done some items, found that when you apply a little bit of heat with a heat gun you get excellent coverage. Just watch out, too much heat and you melt the ink. :blushing:

Heinrich, is it 3M as in the pic?? There is no ink, the whole sheet is actually the color you selected. I have even tried to rub off the color with terps and nothing happened. Or am I just lucky? I know you are however able to stretch it too far which makes it look ugly and less sticky. :blushing:

The one I have has a texture, you can clean and wipe it, and it all stays in place.
But with the heat from the heatgun, when you overdo it the texture melts of. It was probably never intended to get that hot.
