For me it will work brilliant in my Kz(Work truck) as I need tools the whole day and I am fed up crawling into a bakkie!

Pretty good idea, should work well. 
The only thing is that it's a bit too small, you would have to have one on each side and then it becomes a bit pricey in relation to what there is available here. I carry 3 full sized tool boxes with me and one of the benefits is that if I require a particular range of tools, I can carry the whole box to the work point which saves running back and fro.

Ja, I do aswell.
But I pack the tools I need in a bucket and that way do not have to carry 40kg+ of tools around all day.

Yep, I have open carry boxes for that but so often one needs something that wasn't anticipated. Either way, I have to give my crew something to do otherwise they get lazy!
