New Kit Installed

Post by Legendary »

Hello all

Well this past Saturday was spent doing some work on the Hilux, small stuff but was nice to do something other than work. :celebrate:

I had already purchased 2 mods from our trusty 4x4 Direct friends :cooldude: and decided that they need to be installed ASAP.

I purchased the Diff Breather extension kit as well as the spare wheel valve extension kit. I set to work with beer in hand some spanners.

I must say that the old Diff breathers were a bit muddy and clogged and was probably good that they have been replaced. The spare wheel valve i think is an awesome gadget.

A good wash and polish and fitted the seat covers for the two front seats and the cover for the backseat, just have a problem with the back rest cover for the back seat as it doesn't have holes for the locking mechanism to keep the seat in place, will have to get out the sewing needle and thread.... :slap:

Nice install Rob, better not hook your trailer with said beverages in hand or the valve would be destroyed.

plans for this weekend...

In between helping my mother move into her new place (i have a bakkie, so loading is not a problem, its just getting the furniture up into the bin)... :alvarin: :alvarin:

I will also be trying to get some more work done on the long awaited completion of my Alu Canopy. :surrender: :surrender:

Fitting my roof rack to the cab of the bakkie.

That should should take most of the weekend, but will keep posted if any more ideas pop up.

Thanks Kobus

Its not very often that i use a trailer, but will have to keep it in mind.

I have just gone and had another look because you put a bit of doubt in my mind, but it should be fine even with the trailer hitched.

Will have to wait and see, need to maybe use one on the weekend so would be a good test..... :slap:

All necessary mods in my view  , I must still come around to do them some time.
