Hulp - wie het 'n bead breaker...

Post by Gerrie »

Hi ouens.
Asseblief!!

Personally, I would NOT use a HiLift jack.
Looking at these pictures makes me think....

You can buy a bead breaker from 4x4 Megaworld. There is nothing wrong with a high lift jack. The problem is you get idiots that don't know how to use it properly. If you know how to use it , it is the most valuable piece of equipment with more uses than a swiss army knife.

I would fall into the camp of "idiots that don't know how to use it properly", so I would not use it to de-bead.
Guess I need to learn... :blushing:

Roy, don't feel bad, one just needs to go on a course to learn how to operate it properly when you buy one. It can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. Alot of the stuff is common knowledge, the problem is not everyone has common knowledge. You should ask Thys to do a course down there on how to use a high lift jack.

Soos my Pa altyd sê: Common sense ain't common...

I reckon if you strike a hi-lift with the right type of stone, you can get a spark to start a fire? Truly remarkable...

If you don't use the jack correctly, you can also make tenderised face (very much like tenderised steak!)

You get tenderised face because people use one hand and when that handle slips you are in trouble. One should always keep some Q20 so you can spray the moving parts everytime you use it because they get sticky and will cause an accident if it jumps out.
