Last official event for the Club on the calender for this year!

Who else is joining us for the epic outing? As with all the other events this year, let's make this one a memorable as only the Hilux 4x4 Club can!!

^{I will even bring a bottle of Cookies & Cream for the Saturday evening!}

The year end function will be held at Kareekrans, 42 km from Rustenburg.

The 4×4 routes are split into three trails of varying difficulty, guaranteed to keep the 4x4holics busy for a weekend.

Camping
R70 per persoon per nag.
R35 kinders tussen 7-12jr. per nag.
Onder 7jr. gratis.

4x4 roetes R200 per voertuig.(eenmalige betaling)

The nearest petrol station: Moedwil (15km)
How long is/are the route/s? 3 routes/11 km
How long will I drive for: Approximately four hours without stopping.
Max/minimum number of vehicles: 35 max
Do I get a map: Yes, you do and you_ll need it.
Will my car get scratched: No, not if you drive carefully.
Should I take the running boards off: No
Should I take a pump: No
Can I turn around halfway: No
Can we have a braai on the route: Yes
Best time to go: All year
Can I take my family: Yes
Just for the day or the weekend: Both
Are there ablution facilties for day vistors: Yes

Main Camp site have hot water and power.

This will be a camping weekend for those who want to.
The activities are assorted and fun-filled, from rock climbing and abseiling to horse riding, canoeing and foefie slides.

Please take note, in case you feel lost going to Kareekrans:

After Rustenburg, from the N4 take the SECOND (2nd) Waterval turn-off, then drive untill you get the Kareekrans sign board, follow signage from there.

And if you need electricity, please bring long leads just in case you are not close to an electrical point.

Manne en maninne(dames) dit was nou n helse nice outing my verwagtinge behoorlik oortref baie nice ge-organiseer genuine. Daai ou met die veep het hy toe die huis gehaal?. Het julle toe daai ekstra berg roete gery as julle het pic wil die pics sien. Om die mense te kan ontmoet wees awsome nou kan mens n gesig plaas erenste op die forum. Jammer as ek dalk so bietjie te vinnig gery het op die trail. Wanneer is die volgende ene seker vroeg volgende jaar.

Mense, was dit nou nie n awesome awesome naweek nie...

eenigste skade was 2x gesnyde 20"bande. Daai was nou bad luck gewees en skars 20m van di begin punt. Nie lekker ni maar ek glo hulle is okay.

Die volgende een is sommer di naweek by Moegatle.

Ekwil net vir almal wat gekom het baie danki se vir n great naweek. Dit was awesome...

Ons het daai B roete gister gery en ja daar is baie meer dink werk op daai roete maar nie so rof nie. Lekkerste was daai laaste af...

Guys and ladies thank you for a great weekend from my side as well!!

Karee krans is really a good trail, something for everyone, and the scenery is beautiful. Signage on the routes were well done and the camping facilities were clean. All in all a well looked after place.

Also thank you to Ali3n for entertaining the kids (of all ages) with his kreepy krawly scouting techniques.. we found various spiders, lots of frogs, funny insects, and a cute little snake... Next time we will take a fluorescent torch along to find those scorpions!

Apologies for that - Seems like Picasa Web Albums have changed their API since it was acquired by Google+. The phpBB Code does not respond with the correct results anymore. Working on it and will drop another post as soon as we have figured it out. Will also look at alternatives in the mean time.
