Moved!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Agree Pieter. And for the record, I'd choose that old Mustang over a dozen of those models ...... the plane will still give you some maintenance headaches but nowhere near as much as just one of those gals.

Re: Rand Airport Air Show
Eish Mickey! For me there's no contest .... the P-51 Mustang which dates from WW2, is still today one of the nicest looking small planes IMO ... and the sound of that V12 Rolls Merlin engine ... aah shite!, ... the mere thought gives me goosebumps!

Ha ha ha! I do agree, but I must say, having grown up with the drone of Harvards, I'll always be fond of them too.

@Mud Dog: That Rolls Royce Merlin must be the most beautifull music man has ever made! Maybe someone should think of starting a Merlin conversion into a Lux You may need to start by moving the cab where the load bin used to be to make room though with a fuel tank in tow!

Re: Rand Airport Air Show
Hehe .... will never fit in a Lux .... way too long. It's an airplane motor, long and sleek in design and IIRC it has a massive displacement of something like 27 litres! It's a big boy!

Just did a quick image search ..... looks like there were some differing sumps ... could be that the bigger sump was for non-aero use, since I see that the RR Phantom 2 was fitted with one of those monsters.
