Hi all,

Just putting the feelers out there for interest from our club to join the 4x4 Megaworld Club at Gerotek.
Hosted by Bernie Williams of "That 4x4 Show" fame, I know this will be loads of fun. Who knows, you may learn a thing or two that you did not know about your capabilities and that of your truck in a well controlled environment.
Please note that this is not a training event. That we will be arranging in the near future.

Date to be confirmed, but we are looking around mid June.

Hi all,

Continuing on this thread, Bernie has managed to secure a booking at Gerotek along with some kind sponsorship from Ring Automotive for a very different and affordable 4x4 event.
This is an awesome opportunity for you to test your 4x4 driving skills both on and off road; on dirt as well as a skid pan.

Come join us on the 4th November for what will be a very unique driving experience.

We would like to invite you to a day with a difference.

Bring your 4x4 and come and experience your vehicle like you have never before!!

Thanks to the gracious assistance of Mark Watson and Ring Automotive Products we will be doing an On/Off Road course at the world renowned Gerotek facility.

The day will consist of the following:

8:00 - 8:30 Registration Coffee/Tea with Rusks and Muffins
8:30 - 9:30 Theory
9:30 - 1:00 Brake recognition and slalom exercises and Skid-pan
1:00 - 1:30 Buffet Lunch
1:30 - 4:00 Gradients and 4x4 tracks
4:00 - 4:30 Certification

Skid-pan excersise consist of:
Straight line ABS braking - Emergency ABS Lane change - Understeer and oversteer.

Time permitting we will also be making use of the sand tunnel.
Gradients you will be experiencing the different degrees.
Gerotek has some interesting 4x4 test tracks some of which we will be driving.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL!!

Cost per person: R 700.00

Booking and payment will secure your spot on this event.

We will be limiting participants to 30 people:
2 pax x per vehicle = 15 vehicles.
