George, sorry having a hectic time.. but not sure about the potjies. I am happy to make a few potbreads if some going to do potjies. If there is someone that can organise it, it would help. Trying to get permits done, and in between sorting out my parents home and looking for a care facility for them as well. So a volunteer potjie manager or else we just bring our own meals etc.... Sorry

Val just a stupid question, do we need to pay camp fees into club acc, or do we pay at ouskip as we get there, i know for the permits we pay you straight up...

Normally we pay into the club account, but because everything is such short notice, I thought I would just collect the money on the weekend and then pay it all in one lump sum on Monday into the club account. Cassie has already paid the camping for Sat night. Permits I will also pay and get the money back on the weekend....

To not complicate things we fend for our selves me think.Each one bring there own stuff.Meat,wood , drinks,toilit paper.O ja and tents.I am not sharing unless you send me a pic

I will bring a pot and we see what we got.

Okay the plan for the dunes, we will go early when the gates open... I think that is 7.00 am, Thys please confirm... and we will spend the morning in the dunes, and then return to ouskip for our lunch braai at about 12. The wind comes up in the dunes in the afternoon and it is not sooo pleasant, plus finding a place is often difficult. Obviously those that need to get home or don't want to return to ouskip can do their thing....

Okay guys, I picked up the permits, had a cuppa coffee with Coenie.. remember him?? and will drop the permits off at Hoppy's tonite...

This arrangement with the permits works well Val, in future we can do it this way. Chantalle is also happy with us doing it like that, it gives her ample time to do the paperwork...

Thanks Val for organising this.It was great as usual.We had a nice Saturday and Today was nice and hot in the dunes.Thanks Hopster for guiding us.We even managed to watch the Rugby on a little Walka Drifter.Thanks to each and all it was a blast

Like the pics shows, what a weekend!
The party was good, we left early to be at the gate just after 8 and took a leisurely cruise to the big dune where the Hilux world record was achieved. The dune was quite challenging and most were ready to give up after a few tries. After some deflating and coaching, Val flew her Hilux over and the Gala was on! We got all the vehicles over except for two, they had some horses escape over the years, but once we catch them, we will be back!
We took a back road to the horseshoe, the "Big Dune", jumped another few dunes, but it was the first real summers day in Cape Town and even the wind stayed away, so off we went back to the camp to have our "Final Final" braai for 2013.
Thanks again, awesome weekend and a successful year for the Hilux Club!!

damn, moes maar eerder kom kamp het by julle, my kamp was net oraait. gaan bq moet kla op Kambati se web

kampeer terreine lekker groot, die beloofde winkel en supertube wat naweke oop is, is toe eintlik vir slegs oo in seisoen tyd. Is ons nie al in seisoen tyd nie?

Sorry Tertius dat jou kampplek nie so lekker was nie. By ons was daar n groot swembad en snoepie vir die kinders, die strand oorkant die pad, en die lekkerste kuier mense in die Wes Kaap, wat saam kamp... Lekker rooster kookies wat ek sou gebraai het, maar Omo het dit baie goed gebraai, en gedraai, die kleinste TV om rugby te kyk.... eintlik was daar n groot TV by die kampplek se kuier kamer, maar ons het gebly waar ons was, met kampvuur en lekker geselskap.

Volgende jaar gaan ons almal lekker outings saam geniet...
