The month of Feb is so short ant a lot of stuff is happening this month with valentines day and all that stuff. The only "free" weekend I have for a little 4x4-ing is 21/22 Feb, and I decided that I am going to go to Atlantis for a bit of sand driving and dune surfing. The sand is nice an loose and will be more challenging than in winter. Anybody who is interested to join me/us is welcome to do so. Heeltyd speeltyd...

Hey Charl, just take an extra radiator with... and 5l of oil... oh and some diff oil... and maybe powersteering and alternator belts... an extra starter motor(just in case)... ok and an extra alternator... some coolant... say 5 litres... and spark plugs... air filter, yes an air filter... a rotor for the dizzi... and a tow rope... and ... and ... no worries you'll be fine...

is there any space for a passenger?

Julle ouens moet net onthou trou is nie perdekoop nie.Nog minder is dit duine ry in n Hilux.Dis baie complicated en Thys die arme bruidegom is bang man.Gaan jy troukar ry met kaspaas

Dis alles in die haak Hentey, jy moet praat dan vra ek vir Coenie om nog 'n permit uit te neem. Hy doen 'n permit-run vanmore. Ek gaan vir 'n heen en weertjie, nie die hele dag nie, daar is paar goetertjies wat ek wil uit-toets..

AI maar het ons lekker in die sand gespeel vandag.Was dit nie vir neef Tysie nie dan het ons nou nog daar vasgesit.Gelukkig het Thys sy kamera by die huis vergeet,anders was die forum vanaand vol van die penarie wat ek en boeta Nico verkeer het.Maar ek sal dit liewer vir hom los,laat hy maar vertel.Dankie weereens vir koning rot vir die permitte asook vir die recovery crew

met die nodige bystand.Ek sal probeer fotos oplaai .........

Net jammer daai ou Kaspaas van my het alweer sy powersteering belt gechow. My arms voel nou soos Arnold Swartsenekker sinne.. Sodra hy revs vat dan breek die belt. Dis nou al die 2de keer in 'n ry.

I must say, since I did the cold air induction thing and opened the restricted air intake, Kaspaas is quite revvy and the power is awesome.

Have the powersteering pump checked out, it may be that the powersteering pump is dragging at higher rpm, leading to the belt failure! I'm not sure if the PS pump has bearings in it, if so they may be on there way out and need replacing...

Yip Bretton, that is the plan. I could understand if it happened once, but twice in a row means something smells a little fishy down there... I will report back on this.

ek hoop die p/s belt het die regte spanning opgehad,want so vinnig as wat daai kaspaas nou rev kon die belt dalk deur die crank pulley af gechow wees.!!!!!!!Maar jy moet dit nie regmaak nie,want nou kry jy n workout terwyl jy lekker op die duine baljaar.Een van die dae het jy n paar biceps soos HULK HOGAN.

Ek sal maar die belt laat terugsit, as ek arms soos Hulk Hogan moet he dan doen ek dalk te veel skade...
