True, Mark! I find that parents hide behind the "I want to give my children the opportunities I never had", :problem: because they are too lazy to fork out some discipline. :acute:

I never spared the rod (it wasn't spared on me either) .... can't say that I regret it either way. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Probably nothing wrong with the constitution as such, rights are good  ,but it should come with a warning sign......

It's up to us to teach our kids the responsibility and discipline they need to accept all these rights that the constitution affords them.

Just spoke about this topic the other day, few years back kids still had respect and manners, these days, they make the rules! I think what happened was we got scared of them and now they make the rules, very sad!
Big fan of bringing the rod back in school, I am positive once this happens we will see a change in the world!

most appropriate thread ,,,, being Youth day .....

My neighbours little one is 11 months old. Watched him in the week. He will start fiddling with something, and his day will say NO ... you must see the faces he pull (was really diificult to not busrt out laughing). GOOD to SEE that even at this tender age kids CAN listen and behave !
