Namaqua Rain Frog

Not something you will see every day.
I always hear these frogs, they always makes a noise when it rains. Only when it rains or when it is about to rain.
Was about to plant a plant when I found this one. First one I found after 6 years in this house.

Hier by my in Kenridge is hulle volop.
Altyd so bang ek spit hulle raak. Dan skree hulle vreeslik.

It is very soft, feels like a bag filled with water.

Also well camouflaged ... I think the first you'll know he's there when you hear the "pop" after standing on him.

Turned out to be a Namaqua Rain Frog and not a Cape Rain Frog

I find it interesting that you were planting a plant Pieter,
A Butter Tree yes, after planting it takes care of itself.

Hehe .... plant a 'brood boom' (bread tree) next to it and you'll never go hungry!

First the ground beans, then the butter tree then the bread tree.
