there is one brown patch left on the entire table mountain... jeesh this was a big one.
Quite a few houses evacuated. I was in Salt river yesterday morning at about 6am, and smoke started to burn my eyes. Where did all them people spend the night that was evacuated?

I read an article by some Prof in News24 this morning, who said the fynbos on the mountain was nine years old and should have been burnt long ago.Also the proteas were dying out because they couldn't pop there seeds for years. When the winter rains come it will be all beautiful again. I wonder what the "bergie" thought when he went up in flames
