Info on route

Post by george »

Friends of mine want to travel the attached route from Katima Malimo to Windhoek. They will be driving on their own.Is the route through bots a "normal" road or an offroad road.
Thanks

Hi George, the road from Katimo through the Caprivi is excellent.(tar) (caution there are plenty vet points along this route)

Through the border South, into Bots, the road is pot-holed but gets better near Gobabis.
From Gobabis to Windhoek the road is excellent (tar)

South of Windhoek I can not comment on recent road conditions.

Thanks Mark.I will let them know
The state of Namibian roads is bad at the moment. The B1 is full of potholes because of the rain. Especially around Windhoek
