Two camping items you never leave without?

Post by HiluxJunkie »

What two items do you never leave at home when you go camping. Even if it has to be carried on your wifes lap if there is no more packing space

Mine would be my Waceo fridge and my Leatherman.

Lets al pitch in name two items just for the fun of it !

OOOMS! Yes they really work...

My wife and I used them every day for 8 months in 2008.

We started out from Cape Town and by the time we reached humid Durbs 3 weeks later our normal beach towels stank!

The humid air meant they never dried properly, especially if you tried to wash them to get the stench out.

So we bought two quick-dry towels at Sportmans Warehouse in Westville. One of the best things we ever did. (NB - we bought full size ones, NOT facecloth size). They fold up no bigger than an orange, and seriously dry out in minutes. They come with a loop attached and we just hung them up on our awning or RTT and they were crispy dry in no time.

When we go away for weekends now, we still take them with. :D

Yes, when unfolded they are 'normal' size, but not the biggest of towels. (I'll check the dimensions tonight.)

I'm 100kgs and I could just wrap it around my waist.
