I just spoke to Lionel. He took the Beast to Tzaneen on the weekend, and he set cruise control at 120kmh (true 160kmh) all the way there with aircon. He did the 450km trip using only 51 litres of diesel.

Did he fit an EGT guage? With ratios like that I can see that mouter lasting very long being driven that hard.

Speedo still indicated 120kmh, so the revs were LOW... It has enough torque to make the monster go 160 when a standard Navara will do 120kmh.. simply stunning...
