Do any of you well informed gents know of a website where you can free of charge obtain the trade and retail values of different vehicles.??
What I have just realised in my frantic search for a replacement Lux is that , and maybe the sellers don't realise it , is that the bank works strickly according to these values. They do take low milage in considiration but thats about it. Maybe that is why some of these vehicles remain for sale for month's because people cannot get them financed as their selling prices are too high.
Guys must realise that banks do not finance extras on vehicles so unless you have up to about a 35% deposit in cash to cover the diff between the retail and asking price , you will not get that vehicle financed.
So the bottom line is ,if you drive an expensive 4x4 and kit your vehicle to the tee it is for your own convenience as you will battle to sell the vehicle to ordinary Joe in the street unless he has a large deposit to cover the shortfall your fitted extra's you are trying to recover , has created.
Just my observations anyway
Trade & Retail Prices Of Vehicles
Re: Trade & Retail Prices Of Vehicles
Andre, yes there is a site available where these value's can be obtained. Will have to scratch around and post it.
As fas as I am aware, my insurer will only insure up to 30% of the vehicle's value(that is for the extra's), no more. Did this excersize end last year and found out......
Regarding financing extra's on a vehicle, I understand only on new vehicles and not second hand.

This one works well , as it does give the option to enter the year model although the description shows different. The given values are also correct according to what I have found out from the dealers
