IFS with Lexus V8 Fuel Consumption?

Post by IndianaJones7746 »

Hi

What fuel consumption does an IFS 4x4 Hilux fitted with a Lexus V8 and manual gearbox attain at a steady highway speed of 120km/h?

I supose the 2.7 will have the better diff ratios for the Lexus engine, but the KZ gearbox is stronger?

Which is the most reliable management system to use these days?

Thank you

If the bakkie is not lifted and standard tyres you should get 8km/L @ 120km/h.
Lifted with 31" tyres closer to 7km/L.
Remember at 110km/h you should get 10% better consumption than at 120km/h.
Don't worry about the 2.7 gearbox, it is strong enough.
I would recommend Spitronics for flexibility and cheaper to maintain should something like the MAF go on the OEM ECU.
No mods :disgust:
