Toyota Vigo seat rattle
Hey guys!
Anyone who owns a Toyota Hilux D4D/Vigo shape Double cab have you ever had a rattle on your rear seat?Where the upper part of the seat hooks in it feels loose and not tight like it should be.I have currently put a piece of rolled up cloth between the seat and body on both places where it hooks in and it works but after a few times of having rear passages it rattles again and I just reroll the cloth and its all good but does anyone have a more permanent solution?

Yip. Has been discussed somewhere else on this forum.
You can use a variety of materials over the hooks from the rear to give a more permanent solution like thick ductape, hosepipe etc.
Also, the mod is to saw the hooks that clip in slightly shorter so that you can better utilise the space behind the seats. I have laso done that. I travel gravel daily and no rattles.

The stealers also has a anti-rattle kit with two rubber blocks you glue on, but after a while it rattles again. Do the hosepipe thing!!

Re: Toyota Vigo seat rattle
Think the last fix was a short piece of hose pipe. No need to modify your seat or hooks

Re: Toyota Vigo seat rattle
I have tried duct tape and all sorts of things to stop it but it doesnt last
Best solution? Pull the seat off, push/bend the loops on the rear wall upwards a bit, essentially causing a snugger fit, put seat back and voila, no more rattle

...and that is why we call them stealers and not dealers...
