3.0Lt D4D Kilos

Post by Loslappie »

I am looking to purchase 3.0lt D4D.The kilos is 250 000.Is it true that the 2.5 does higher kilos then the 3.0lt?
Lets presume I want to add another 100 000km(350 000)to the 3.0lt,and I keep my hand on the bakkie,is this possible.Or what is the cut off point for the 3.0lt
I have 2 x 2.5s.
1 has 330 000km on and the other one 190 000.
I dont know the 3.0lt?

Mine has done 253000 ks now. I had to replace a waterpump, clutch and clutch slave cylinder. Still going well. The other day there was a guy who had an issue with the injectors on his 3lt at 695000 ks. It is a 2007 model so he must do long distance travelling. My kilos were mostly (about 90% done in town).

We have a bunch of coin security 2.5 d4d bakkies that we serviced with 400 000 -500 000km on the clock and still going strong. Also the 2.5 d4d quantum with more than a million km on the clock and some of them is still a 4 away.

the 3.0 d4d is a good engine but have not seen 1 with that high mileage.
There a two kind of people. Those who pushes a door when it says pull and they who pull a door when it says push.
