Bloudraad... my buddy.. my pal

Post by CasKru »

As some of you might remember we were somewhat unfortunate to roll Bloudraad 2 years ago. It was repaired and back on it's feet and as good as ever.

The problem though even though Bloudraad was his usual self, the rest of the family did not recover. They have been with me on one or two trips after the accident but I could see in their eyes that they were terrified. So we basically stopped 4x4ing for a while in the hopes that it will get better.

Ruben and Danika seem to have not gotten rid of most of the fear but mom... eish. She has been pushing me to get rid of Bloudraad and find another 4x4. Well this week I had to travel to work and back with Bloudraad as I have to fix a noisy tensioner bearing on the Tazz before I can drive it again and only got the spares yesterday.

As I was filling up Bloudraad I was approached by a guy who asked if Bloudraad is for sale and I jokingly said for the right price yeah...

to make a long store short, 3 days later the ridiculous amount of money is now in my account and verified and Bloudraad is with his new loving owner....

Cheers Buddy... you will be missed

That was my first thought as well, Eric. Sell Bloudraad!!?? Ja Right! I think I had a lot more people convinced when I 'sold the forum' some years ago! :laugh2:

Cassie, not to be ugly, but I think you would sell your family before the hilux.

Good one Cas..................

But sad to say this is going to be what is going to happen to my SFA. It has stood for a whole year & 2 months waiting for the new licence. Time has arrived and some small repairs will be taking place to get my van back on the road. After that is done it's time for the "FOR SALE" sign. :( :( :( :( :(
