Yaris lost keys

Any fundies out there that can help with lost keys for a Yaris. Toyota say that everything has to be replaced, the ECU and all elso. Looking at about R 12 000.00. :shock2: :shock2:

either insurance, or buy up the "set" from a scrapyard.

then again, surely they should be able to re-program another key for you .... replacing everything sounds a bit rough ..

Not mine, my stepsons girlfriend. Car is packed to go to George today (supposed to be early this morning) , moving back to George. All her stuff plus frozen meat (was). Car not going anywhere and locked. :shock2:

Chris, I googled it and they say all locks, ECU and keys. Sounds not right. Found one lock smith in Diep River, but cannot get an awnser from them yet. They claim to have a way of maybe doing it.

That locksmith sorted out the problem. Not sure what they did, but it cost R4000.00 :shock2: :shock2: :thumbup:

shucks only seen your post now,know a guy who does all Toyota keys from about R1200

Charl, will certainly keep you in mind.
Just bought the wife an older little auto Yaris (traded the 2.7 because of fuel bill :cry: )
And it only came with one key...
I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.
