Pod Rooftop tents

Post by pietdevs »

There was a company that manufactured Pod rooftop tents in Silverton Pretoria. Does anybody know where they moved to?

No it is not leisuretech. The brandname of the rooftop tents was Pod. I wanted to place a photo but I am struggling to do so. Maybe admin can help pls? I enquired at the previous factory where they were and nobody can help me. I want to obviously buy one of them. It is a light weight rooftop tent in a glass fibre enclosure.

Looks like the video is posted by summit trailers; probably the same ones building it.

As i have it the trailers are built in the African outback workshop near waltloo

Hope it helps.

Pod rooftop tents were taken over by Summit trailers and is discontinued to my disappointment! I paid a visit to the factory in Watloo today. The Pod is replaced by the RTT with the Al cover.

I can organise you an Eezi-Awn aluminium 'pod' RTT that is in very good condition with aluminium ladder. It was the flagship of their range which was discontinued because the price to manufacture just became too prohibitive. Owner was looking for R15K (if he still has it).
