Re: Toyota Fire
What else would one expect?
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Toyota Fire
I agree to all the above. I have some more photo's from today, but right now her owner is more clapped out than she, so will post them when I get the gap. Fires still burning in the hills outside Plett, so I guess I'll be back up there at sunrise. The real firefighters and Oryxs are working on the front and us "Bakkie Sakkies" as we're called, are patrolling up and down putting out hotspots.

Re: Toyota Fire
Rigardt, this is not a uncommon "conversion' - a lot of stock farmers (and even private game reserves) did this to their old bakkies that were still very serviceable rather than trade them in. Just fit a petrol driven pump to a 1000lit tank on the back, some fire hosing with a nozzle and you have a pretty effective fire fighting tool.
