too much oil in the engine
What problems could result as a result of too much engine oil being put into a KZTE engine after a service?

If it's only a small "too much" it's not a problem, but if it's a lot "too much" you can do damage.
Normally the counter weight lobes of the crank dip into the sump oil and splash it up into the bores, lubricating them (the oil ring at the bottom of the piston picks it up and keeps some in reserve as well, spreading it all around the bore). Anyway, those crank lobes are normally bevelled to the outer edges to reduce the resistance as they dip into the oil, almost cleaving it - remember they hit the oil at tremendous speed which doesn't allow enough time for the oil to part easily, almost like hitting into something solid. However, by the same token, as the motor revs up there is also very little time for the oil to flow back into the trough created by the previous pass before a lobe passes again, so there is actually almost no "impact" each time it dips.
Now over fill the sump and not only are the lobes "impacting" the higher oil level, but so are the connecting-rod journals that offer a broad, unsuitably shaped surface. The resistance can be so great that you bend a con-rod or even twist the crank.
I would say that if the level on the dip-stick is more than a cm above the full mark, it would be wise to drain / syphon some oil out.
